About Sally can't Surf. Ponta Do Ouro Accommodation

Sally Can’t Surf is all about good vibes and great times. Founded by two lifelong surfer friends who believe life is too short to be taken too seriously, it’s a true passion project. David, the creative mastermind behind the concept, brings his unique vision to life with a natural flair for crafting a one-of-a-kind venue. Having successfully run a pub in Hole in the Wall, Transkei since the early 2000s, David saw Mozambique as the perfect setting for Sally Can’t Surf. With its mix of a party venue, accommodation, and a restaurant, it’s hard to imagine a better spot to unwind.

David embodies the laid-back, easygoing spirit of the place, and his friend Eduard, founder of the Peri Peri Chicken Appreciation Association, was quick to join him in this new adventure. When Eduard crosses the border into Mozambique, he transforms into “Eduardo,” embracing the local flavor until he returns home.

Sally Can’t Surf is located in Ponta do Ouro.

A place known for its relaxed atmosphere and array of family-friendly activities. Visitors can safely stroll to the beach, visit local markets, or dive into adventures like 4×4 dune forest drives, beach outings, dolphin and whale watching, deep-sea fishing, quad biking, birdwatching, hiking, and, of course, surfing.

The accommodation at Sally Can’t Surf caters to up to 30 guests. It is just 200 meters from Ponta do Ouro Beach and 31 km from Kosi Bay Nature Reserve. Recently renovated, the property offers family rooms, private parking, and a terrace for guests to enjoy. Each unit comes with a wardrobe and en-suite bathroom, complete with shower, basin, and toilet, as well as provided linen and towels.

For travelers, Maputo International Airport is 121 km away, making this laid-back beach haven easily accessible. Whether you’re there for the party, the waves, or the peaceful surroundings, Sally Can’t Surf has everything you need for a memorable stay.
